Meet Yuwa, your guide.

Nutritional Therapist, Herbalist, Naturopath, trained in Functional Medicine.

Yuwa is a science-led naturopath, nutritional therapist, certified stott pilates instructor and speaker. Special interest is in women’s health, metabolic resilience and gut health.

Yuwa leads a systems-based health practice grounded in stewardship — offering care that is precise, thoughtful, and deeply personalised.

The work integrates functional nutrition, naturopathy, intelligent movement, and physiology-informed skin health to support the whole person. the work honours the body as something to be cared for — not controlled — and supports inner transformation that is reflected outward.

I support health from the inside outward — regulating internal systems, strengthening the body through movement, and reflecting that health through the skin.

Care is personalised, evidence-informed, and shaped by your history, physiology, and capacity for sustainable change.

This is not symptom-chasing or quick fixes. It is systems-based care for women seeking clarity, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

Client Testimonials

  • “As someone diagnosed with Hashimotos, I was dealing with a myriad of symptoms including fatigue, constipation, bloating, and anxiety amongst many others. Since finding Yuwa, I have learnt so much from her about what helps me; the food my body wants, the supplements I need, even the type of exercise that is better for me. Yuwa has provided me with many recipes and much support along the way. As a result the thing I have noticed the most is how much more energy I have and how I can now get on with life! I have the utmost confidence in her knowledge and her genuine desire to help me in every way she can. I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

    -Elspeth Hayward

  • “I came to Yuwa at probably one of the most difficult times of my life - I was struggling mentally with dangerous intrusive thoughts, presenting with peri-menopause symptoms - brain fog, insomnia etc and just generally in a very bad place. Yuwa supported me mentally through coaching and helping me to see unhelpful patterns of behaviour I couldn’t see myself, physically by ensuring I had the right medical care and support either through getting the right tests and or supplements and spiritually by helping me to see how my mind and body were intrinsically linked. She was and still is the only healthcare practitioner who can help me on all three levels. You won’t find anyone better than Yuwa to help you in whatever area of life you are working on or struggling with and I can’t recommend her highly enough. ”

    -Helen McNamara

  • “After attending one of Yuwa’s workshops I was inspired to tackle my intake of sugar. I also cut out all caffeine and reduced alcohol. My blood pressure has improved as has my general fitness. I would highly recommend attending one of Yuwa’s workshops. It will be the inspiration and motivation you need.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, these life stages are a core focus of my practice. I support clients through concerns such as cycle irregularity, PMS, PCOS/endometriosis support (where appropriate), preconception preparation, and the hormonal shifts of perimenopause and menopause (energy, mood, sleep, hot flushes, weight changes, and more). We’ll look at the whole picture: nutrition, lifestyle, stress, gut health, and key biomarkers - so your plan is tailored to your body and your goals.

  • Yes. My approach is evidence-informed, which means I combine the best available research with clinical experience and what’s realistic and sustainable for you. I draw on functional nutrition, naturopathic principles, and physiology to understand potential root drivers, then create a practical plan you can actually follow. Where evidence is limited or mixed, I’ll explain the “why,” the options, and we’ll decide together what makes sense for you.

  • Absolutely. My work is designed to complement conventional medical care, not replace it. If you’re working with a GP, gynaecologist, endocrinologist, or fertility specialist, I’m happy to collaborate and help you implement supportive nutrition and lifestyle strategies alongside medical treatment. With your consent, I can also review blood work and reports you already have and help you prepare questions for your appointments.

  • Not necessarily - but meaningful change often takes time, especially with hormones, digestion, and long-standing symptoms. Many clients feel best with a short series of sessions so we can assess what’s going on, implement changes gradually, and adjust based on how you respond. You can start with one consultation and then decide on the level of support that fits your budget, timeline, and needs.

  • Yes. All sessions are delivered online (typically via Zoom) using Practice Better, so you can work with me from anywhere. You’ll also have access to secure messaging/resources (depending on your package), and we can share plans, notes, and recommendations in one place. Online care is flexible, convenient, and works well for ongoing support.

  • That’s very common. Most people aren’t sure at the beginning. An initial consultation is the best first step: we’ll map out your symptoms, history, priorities, and what you’ve already tried. You’ll leave with clarity on next steps and a plan that feels manageable. Whether that’s targeted nutrition changes, lifestyle foundations, or further assessment.
